It’s springtime and the month of May was an ideal time for our “Gala Plant Sale” with the proceeds being shared between Christian Aid and St Bartholomew’s church maintenance fund.
The local green fingered community provided an amazing array of plants for sale.
Selling the plants didn’t seem to be a problem; it was trying to remember who had bought what when they said, “I’ll collect them later” and promptly disappeared for coffee and cake.
Did I mention coffee and cake! There’s always coffee and cake and the cake makers, once again, excelled themselves.
So, you’ve bought your plants and had your fill of the wonderful refreshments, the only thing left on the Gala Menu is to get your raffle tickets.
The community would like to thank everyone for their involvement in raising much needed funds during a difficult time for us all. Hopefully we’ll see you next year.
